so with different gear ratios i wont fuck up anything? itll work like it was meant for it is what im gettin at... haha
Short answer: transmission type doesn't affect what differential you have. Engine type does. An N/A auto will have the same diff as an N/A manual
gear ratios:
All N/A: 4.30 (sport pack had LSD)
87-early 89 turbo: 3.91 LSD
late 89-92: 3.73 LSD
1JZ Supra: 4.10 Torsen LSD
Any differential will bolt up to any setup. The cases are the same for all of them. The differences are internal. The problem you will run into will be your accelleration. While a taller gear will help fuel mileage, you will lose accelleration off of the line. In an N/A that's going to be very noticable. I would personally keep the 4.30 in the car. If you absolutely must have an LSD, get a 4.30 LSD out of an N/A sport pack, or a 4.10 out of a 1JZ.
