hey guys,
so i put a r154 in my mk3, got a one piece drive shaft and the flange at the diff is too big. center to center measures about 3 3/8 inches on the new flange bolt holes. the diff and my old drive shaft measures about 3 inches center to center on the bolt holes, with what looks to be no fabrications or modifications to it. i know i have a mk3 lsd and i know theyre all the same structure/housing except the gearing in a ma70.
my question is do i maybe have a mk2 input shaft flange? would i be safe to drill holes into the new flange on the drive shaft, or should i get a conversion u joint? id rather not get a whole new diff cus im broke haha. i need some advice.
thanks!!
