WOW! Why are you paying retail? There are several options on getting discounts.

Example: I priced out the accordian hose (this was 8 years ago btw). I had my local shop order one (no money up front) then called Jeff Watson. Not only did I have the part next day air (Saturday delivery) but the price (including next day air Saturday delivery) was cheaper than my local parts counter.

well I still have a few other pieces to get... before I paint. the previous owner painted almost everything black. UGH... so i have to replace the parts that should not have been painted.... anyway... where can i go to get the parts at a better price???? I would love to know...

Call up every toyota parts dept in your area and ask them what the shop discount rate is... tell them you have a shop, that's what i do... 1/2 the time they won't even ask you for any proof, and if they do just call up another one.... or go register a business as a dba which is usually free or very cheap. i've saved who knows how much money... at least $1000 so far.... i get a 20-25% discount and no tax on everything i buy.
