Hi me again... ok... i hope i posted this in the right forum.

How do i get the key code from the car to get an original cut key that works?

when I had my first supra i was told they were on the key cylinders, and in order to get to it you had to take the door apart from the interior???

Is that hunch right? cuz I dont want to take the door apart..:3d_frown:

That is right. You may be able to use a flashlight and an extending mirror to read it without taking it out. If I recall correctly it is on the passenger side cylinder.

Taking the door panel off is pretty easy, i can do it in about 30 mins...ver self-explanitory. Make sure you take off the door lock bezels before removing the entire panel. You shouldn't need to buy any new clips...they just pop out, then when you go to put it back on, just lightly hit the door panel all over until they all pop in.

They won't have your key code with just the VIN...you have to get the cyl out of the pass. side, and take it to the dealer.
