I know there are various trim levels of the MK3 that came in japan (i.e. limited, turbo R, etc.)
well, I have an interesting question that hopefully a crazy JDM guru will be able to answer for me.
I just got my Clip today from Jarco. It's perfect. Much better than I even had imagined it would be.
but then after looking at it, I noticed some stuff that I found....interesting.
so bear with me and please enlighten me.
this isn't really that important, since the empty clip will be trashed, but I just wanna know for my own personal knowledge.
First off, Jarco sent me vids of two different 1Js running. Both of them are 5speed. Both Speedos are in KPH (obviously) However, one goes to something like 220 KPH and my speedo goes to 160 KPH.
Also, my clip has no ABS, no Cruise control (but the little hookup part on the throttlebody IS there).
the vehicle ID plate states that it IS a JZA70, so I ruled out the fact that maybe it was an engine swap into another lower level supra.
so my question is...
what trim level supra was my clip? Would anything on the vin plate tell me?
Were cruise control and Anti-lock brakes not standard on the JZA70?
just something I was thinking about...
