My 91 n/a r-154 was sitting for approximately 8-12 months before I finally was able to finish the headgasket. It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it! lol. I have some mechanical experience, owning one of these cars pretty much makes you learn mechanics quite fast. It's my 3rd motor, jdm, no EGR and my previous motor of course did have the egr and all the extra vacuum hoses which have since become obsolete. I tried turning on my Supra for the first time but it only turned... it didn't crank up. I'm not sure if theres anything else I knew to do before starting a car that has been sitting so long... Do I have to put gas in the intake to start it up? I cthink it's a gas problem but haven't been able to diagnose it.. I changed the fuel injectors but wasn't sure if it was the fuel pump. Not sure if you guys know what I have to do before starting a car that has been sitting for a long time...?:: angry ::

So it cranks but does not start right?

Jump fp+ and e1 in the diag box and listen for the fuel pump to come on.

Also check all your fuses under the hood and check for codes.

Check to make sure the check engine light comes on with the key in the on position.

one other thing you might check is the timing. I just replaced my head gasket on my 7MGE and had the timing off just a little and it wouldn't start either. (thank god for friends who figured this out for me)
