Just a question for you guys.

When I'm in 3rd gear on the hwy doing 50-60mph and I try and brake boost I can smell my clutch. Is there something wrong there? I'll brake boost to about 10psi then go for it and right before I let off the brake I can smell my clutch burning. Any help would be great!

I have 411rwhp and a southbend clutch stage 4 supposed to hold 540tq.

Sure you're not smelling your brakes?

Brakeboosting is really hard on your brakes...

Should be pretty easy to know if it's your clutch or not. Are your RPMs shooting up when you brake boost?

thats what i thought when i read your thread. check those brakes. your clutch wont smell unless its slipping, so if your rpms are staying constant, then your clutch can't be slipping or smelling.

If it's not your brakes, I'd check the pedal pre-load... make certain the clutch is fully engaging.

If not you'll experience premature wear, which will be more pronounced if you're brake-boosting.

PS.

I <3 brake boosting.
That is all.
