hey guys, i have an 87 turbo and it overheated 2 weeks ago cause the t-stat went. After that the car started sputtering everytime i'd try to boost. it would sputter or hit fuel cut at the slightest sign of boost. i did search and found info on boost leaks so i upgraded my intercooler piping to hardpipes with stock IC (i have spearco replica IC but just haven't had to time to figure out how to mount it) in doing so i found a split in the coupler from 3000 pipe to TB and a crack in the plasic pipe that goes behind the right fender...after doing so the car ran good, i had boost and everything until 10 min of driving...
i checked all my t-clamps and everything was tight...the IC doesn't appear to have any cracks...i did find some oil in the old IC plumbing (more than just a film) so i was wondering if i need an oil CC to fix this...the sputter and fuel cut seem to happen 50% of the time i drive it warm and seems fine when engine is still cold...
current mods are 3 inch exhaust DP back...2.5 in IC pluming...Hong Kong Sport BOV from driftmotion...and greddy profec boost controller that came installed on the car when i bought...and the boost is set to -.2 (well thats wut it says when i touch the dial)
