Installing AEM Boost Gauge, a little help?

Hi everyone, I just got an AEM Tru-Boost boost gauge/controller, and this is going to be the first time I've installed an aftermarket gauge in my car. I had a few questions just to make sure I'm not screwing it up. I noticed the gauge has two red wires, both switched, fused, +12VDC. Is it okay to:
1. Connect them both to the same source.
and
2. Wire them into my stereo wiring harness?

2. i would rather use a diff. source, like the back of the cig. lighter, i dont have a cig lighter so it'd worked out for me.
