For the past 3 months I have been brought to tears constantly as I replaced one part after another hoping that my idling problem would be fixed. (http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2396&page=2)
Today I finally got around to checking the O-rings on the injectors. #5 was actually split in half on one side. When we removed it you could visibly see cracks running the length of the ring in multiple directions. My problem now is that the O-ring for cylinder 6 is apparently fused to the intake. I've tried almost everything I can think of to get it out, but it just keeps on crumbling a little more every time I try something different. Now, since it is impossible to stop the broken bits of O-ring from going into the manifold... my question to the Supra community is: Will the tiny bits of O-ring that are slowly falling into the engine cause significant damage to the cylinder in either the short or long run? I am hoping that they will just burn up and leave the engine, or just get sucked through with the gases. Hypothesis, ideas and facts are welcome.
