Ok this wont be too hard, but im rusty and i need some help/ refreshment.

Scenerio is i have a pc that needs an ip address on the network. Its a T-1 line going to a CISCO 2500 router. A pretty basic model nothing fancy, i used this in school, but i havent touched one in years now.

Problem is a new pc needs an ip address. It has to be manually assigned to the pc from the router.

What i tried over the phone to manually assign the ip, subnet, and default gateway with no luck. I then found it was a CISCO router :nono: , so that means i have to Log into the router, and Turn on the appropriate ethernet and assign it a subnet, and ip. Then i assign the corrisponding ip, subnet, and default gateway to the pc.Hopefully all is well.

My problem is i dont remember the proper commands to take these actions. Its been too long since Ive had to use them so naturally i have forgot. So if anyone with experience or students with notes could help it would be greatly appreciated.
