Hydro Fan w/standalone Q

So, i picked up a microtech from a local forum member. It is wired for a 1J, but he was not using the hydro fans, and i am. Instead of messing around with something i know already works, would it be at all possible to make my own "harness" from the hydro fan ecu to the temp sensor at the bottem of the rad? It seems simple enough. Please, tell me if im wrong

yea just make your own harness. It should be fairly easy
