does any one have a vein pressure converter on their car, i just bought a turbo mkiii and i fear that my car is running lean. (idle jumps from 500 to 1000 and car dies randomly when clutch is depressed) i have no clue what setting it should be on or how to use it. what should i do? i don't want to blow anything up

then dont drive the thing. Fix it first. A vpc shouldnt' help you any. How do you know your running lean? Have a wide band? any sort of a/f gauge? have you checked for codes? have you checked the TSRM yet?

Check and clean the IAC.

Need to be more descriptive of your problems and questions.
What are your mods?
List any and all CEL codes.
How long has this been happening?
Does it occur when the motor is hot, cold, both?
have you checked all electric connectors? IE: coil AFM CPS GROUNDS
Check for vacuum leaks, all of them
