As it said above, my car won't start or it will stumble and die. I removed the cams to replace valve bucket shims. The timing belt seems to be correct. The cam marks line up perfectly with the crank 0 mark. I don't see any vacuum lines unhooked or broken wires.
There are two areas I can think of that might be an issue. Number one is the pcv hose that goes from the block to the intake cam cover. It shattered and I don't have a new one yet (on a UPS truck now headed to my door). I capped the two outlets with foam to act as a filter. Is it possible this is the reason it won't start? I would just wait for the hose but I'm 100 miles from home and I have to work tomorrow!
The other thing I did was a compression test before I reassembled everything. I didn't have the TPS connected, as I didn't see a way to do it while connected. I don't have a multimeter to calibrate it. Is it possible for the TPS to go wildly out of calibration when the car is started and its not connected?
P.S. I have no MIL codes.
