On my 87 the A/T went out a while back, picked up a used one this weekend and put it in. Take it for a drive and it throws a code for the speed sensor in the tranny. Go back and check things out and realize that I hurried a little too much and did not pay attention to the fact that the tranny I picked up was from a car with ABS, mine does not.
So the question is if my only option is to remove the tailshaft housing and swap the sensor rotor and sensor or if the transmission ecu can read the ABS style sensor directly if I swap the wires around in the connectors?
