Hard Starting/Possible bhg

When I start my car, I have to do it in steps.

Turn over the car for about 5-10 seconds, it never even sounds like its getting fuel/spark or anything like that.

Next I turn it over and sometimes it sounds like its trying to start. I have to repeat this until it tries to start.

Next when it sounds like its going to catch, I give it some gas and it usually dies, then I start it over and over again until it finally starts. Once the rpms go over 1500 then the car will stay running as long as its warm, until then it dies when it gets under 1000rpms.

Next problem, my coolant is dissapearing, not leaking. I'm about 95% sure its a bhg.

I've had 3 supra's with power steering, and everyone of them has leaked. Any tips on what I can do when I replace the rack and ps pump on how to keep them up and good?

do a compression check, check the oil for coolant. A BHG shouldn't affect starting unless its really bad and very low compression all around. This engine can run on 4 cylinders, so keep that in mind. Its very possible you have a coolant leak you don't see, be sure to check for puddles under the car after its at OP temps

Reason I'm saying that I dont have any coolant leaks is... I put all new antifreeze in my car. Drove it over a patch of new snow. Let it run for 30 mins, and there was no discoloration under, around the vehicle.

As for the hard starting, I'm starting to believe that its the fuel pump. When I push my foot onto the gas pedal, the lights dim excessively and the pump makes a clicking noise.
