hairline cracks on inside of bellhousing

hi Guys

is hairline cracks on the inside of a bellhousing a serious problem ?

the crack is not through the box, its a mere hairline on the inside.

is there anything i can use to streghthen this ?

I have some hairline cracks all around my bellhousing and I didn't think twice about putting it on. I think it will be ok. The only thing that might help though aside from actually getting it welded would be to maybe plaster it with jb weld or something. Good luck dude.

Every bellhousing from my motors has had the minor cracks. I think it'd be hard to find a 20year old, 100k mile drivetrain without them.

Typical aluminum castings. Usually it looks like cracks, but it's not, so nothing to worry about.
