I'm picking up a gte tomorrow and might have a chance to get an ecu with it, and I just wanted to get one thing clear.
The ecu, does it have the be the same year as my car, or as the engine.

I've read the swap info on 4cefed, I just wanted to be clear.
I've searched around a bit and couldnt find a clear answer, sorry if my search skills suck

The ECU connectors, and the connections in the ECU need to be the same color. Thats why they are referred to as "yellow plug" or "Gray plug".

Also if you pick up a motor set with a different color than you have now, you may have to repin some of the body connectors in the ecu area.

You'll need a GTE Harness. AFM for GTE is 5 plug, N/A is 4 plug.

So if you get a Gray plug GTE Harness... you'll need a Gray plug GTE ECU, & if you get a yellow plug GTE harness... you'll need a yellow plug GTE ECU .
