i've just bought a pair of GT-R 33 brake cylinders. Going to swap stock brakes, but i'd like to keep the stock rotors.
If you know, in gt-r brake (cylinder part) the pair of steel clips (on the top) hold the brake pads. In supra we have "two-sided" torque plate that holds a pair of pads. So, gtr brakes very similar to Toyota Land Cruiser brakes, and it very easy to make a custom "one-sided" torque plate.
But stock JZA70 rotors are very thin for GTR cylinders, - less then 1", while gtr rotor is 1,3"... What would you say if i'll make a pair of 0,25" plates and place them among of brake pad and brake cylinder's piston?
The only i found - it's pic in attach, seems that guy who did it, took JZA80 RZ rotors..
Any idea? You know, expiriments on brakes - are very expensive thing, if you love this life.
