Hello Everyone,

I have been looking around for a few days now and have gone to my local dealerships to see if I can find these parts. Maybe someone here that has had experience with these freeze plugs could help me. On the intake side of the block there are two plugs that go toward the top of the block on cylinders 5 & 6. The TSRM states these plugs are screw on and require a gasket. It calls for part numbers 96411-43000 or part number 90341-32070 would i be able to use either one of those parts? Also the TSRM calls for a gasket that needs to be installed behind these plugs. I pulled the plugs from the block already and there were no indications of gaskets ever being on these plugs and they were not a screw on plug. The part number for these gaskets are 90430-32002 and 90430-32002. I am being told everywhere i go that the gaskets are discontinued and no longer sold by Toyota. Can anyone help me find where i can get these replacement gaskets? or know of a replacement part number? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What year is your car?

http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291410/catalog.aspx?F=1105&P=2

According to the EPC, Only the 86.5 to 87 used the gasket (90430-32002) and plug (90341-32070)

After which Toyota moved on to just the plug (96411-43000) for 88 to 92.

If you still want the plug and gasket they are still available through Champion Toyota, but it would be better to just use the updated plug.(96411-43000)

Dirgle,

My car is an 87 but I have a strong belief that the motor was not the original motor. It seems that the freeze plugs that were on this block before were the updated plugs (96411-43000). This answers my question in regards to the Freeze plugs and gaskets. Thank you very much for your response it is greatly appreciated.
Per champion Toyota and every other local dealer in my area the gaskets are discontinued and cannot be ordered through Toyota anymore.

No problem DS31

I does sound like the engine has been changed or has been rebuilt in the past using the new plugs. As far as Champion goes I'm honestly surprised. Their website has a page that allows you to look up parts. I use it to verify that parts are available before I go to the dealer to order them. The gasket does show up on that page, so I guess It's not always accurate.. This is the first time I've heard of that happening.
