For those of you that have tackled the LED climate conversion...

Hey-
I was reading some old posts on here about re-doing the climate control LED's, and finally got started on my own. Problem is- now I don't know how to put a particular part of it back together.
I removed the gray metal hold-down plate that keeps the brass slider in place for the buttons controlling which vents are used(defog, floor, face, etc.). When I did, I found 4 small, white plastic spacers. They fell out before I could take note of their orientation. So now, I'm not sure where to place them under the brass slider.
Here's a pic of the spacers I'm talking about:

I imagine that they bridge the gap(s) between the individual buttons, but I need the info on their exact placement. So, those of you that have been there/ done that, please chime in.

u didnt have to take that part apart to change the leds.

I know- I took it apart to clean the locking recesses on the vent control buttons.

Some more questions to those of you that have succeeded:
I want to change the button illumination led's(the ones inside the buttons) to white.
1. what is the original voltage to the original green led's?
2. The white led's average about 3.0-3.2 volts required- do I need to swap out the resistors to accomodate this?
3. If I do need to, what value should I put in?

My other question is this:
What MCD values should I be trying to get for both the illumination led's and the indicator led's? I see online that the mcd values range anywhere from 1500 to over 20,000. I want it only a little brighter than the original.
