I was hoping to get into the 10s this year, ain't gonna happen:cry:
got the AEM installed, having ignition problems @26psi so we turned it down to 24psi. also the converter is giving up a bit so the dyno#s were about the same as before. and they closed the local 1/4mi track so I went to the 1/8mi track and here's how it went:
1st run:
60ft 1.80
330 4.94
1/8th 7.50 @ 96.25mph
2nd run:
60ft 1.76
330 4.89
1/8th 7.46 @ 96.34
the track prep wasn't great 60ft was .1 slower than last year. I wasn't all that happy, so the 3rd run I was going to spray it with a 75 shot.
spun the tires right off the bat, and I was like well it'll hookup, shifted to 2nd still spinin, shifted to 3rd and i'm like is my tranny slippin?? looked at the speedo and it's over 100mph, no it's not slippin, look in the rearveiw and see a cloud of tire smoke. I did an entire 1/8th mile bunout, wtf. ran a 9.20 @ 81mph.
my buddy that drove down there with me thought we were walkin, lol
So anyway there's always next year. I'm in on the GB for the BC Cams, and I think I'm going to get a Garrett GT4067 for next year, some kind of ignition upgrade, have converter rebuilt, boost the shit out of it, and see what happens.
