Fans question (not the usual)

ok well today my boss gave me his stock fans off of his 04 GTO. they look like they could fit my radiator. i was wonderign if anyone has done this yet or would it be a good free idea?

Depends on what your idea of a good idea is. If it is a 6.0 GTO, they might work pretty well. On the other hand, that is an all aluminum engine, that will dissipate a lot of heat on its own. I suspect the fans move a good amount of CFM.

You try it, and tell us if it worked.

free is always good. i went with an electric fan myself and it seems to push more air, it's quieter, and less rotational mass. i say try it.

What did your boss go to for efans?
Find out what CFM they posted for those, and sometimes they will put up the stock fan's CFM as a reference.

Unless it's more than 2000cfm, I'm afraid it's not worth it.
