Ester base oils + alcohol fuels= bad?

hey guys, i was lurking around the skyline forums viewing their UOAs and one of the members mentioned how alcohol fuels like methanol and e85 can damage the oil??

Haven't head any specifics on that one. I'm sure it has the potential to dilute the oil, affecting it's viscosity and ability to neutralize engine byproducts...of course, gasoline will do that as well. Either has to bypass the rings to get into the oil and ring/cylinder condition is going to determine how much that occurs.
