I recently blew a head gasket. I pulled the head off, fixed the gasket, put everything back together and now it's acting strangely.
At first I got an error 52. I have a knock rewire on my harness, so i just reseated the connectors and that's no longer being thrown. But the ongoing issue is once i rev up to about 1700 RPM the engine will rev down and back up repeatedly.
Any thoughts?

I think I may actually have discovered the problem. The car does not experience this problem with the throttle positioning sensor unplugged. I think I may just have a bad sensor.
