Hi,
Stripped the engine down due to big end failure, I’ve been searching for parts on the net for some weeks now. ( Pistons, Rods, Bearing Shells etc) There seams to be more Supra parts available in the US, even with shipping cost and import duty the price is half the UK price. Found several on ebay shops but uncertain of the quality. Any recommendation would be appreciated, desperately need to get on with engine rebuild.

Thanks for looking.

Greetings fellow UK owner. I too seem to be finding that Supra's are more a US thing with regards to parts, i've only ever been able to find stuff either on eBay or at the stealership.

I've had a quick look through ebay and seen the following items that might be of some help:

Also, if you're after pistons, bearings and the like: http://www.wiseco.co.uk/

HTH :)

Thanks for that, I've contacted most of the UK sellers, either they don't supply or the price is treble that of the US. Ok I know the saying “you get what you pay for” But the price of the JIS pistons is so low it’s worth looking at. 6 Pistons US $146.00 and 6 Con rods US $228.00 That’s cheaper than a Toyota head gasket kit.

Personally, i'm going 1JZ, but will still have to go and get most of the parts from the US - i suppose with the pound being worth almost twice as much as the $, it certainly cant hurt to order from the US.

There is a place called TDX in the UK (Google for it), that sells Japanese Parts. For the rest, you might find something in the japanese performance tuning magazines - top shelf at any WHSmiths.
