Well, since my stock fan clutch is shot and I have no shroud, which makes my car want to run hot when it gets warmer out or driving for an extended period of time, I decided to just install a 2700cfm 14" electric fan kit with adj thermostat. I did not get the kit yet, but I am not sure if I want to run the thermostat the cames with the fan since the lowest temp setting for the fan to kick on is 180 degrees.. 180 seems borderline for me but I was also wondering what the stock thermostat opening temp was, also which direction the coolant actually flows..I have an autometer water temp gauge with a probe mounted on the upper rad hose, I am guessing that the flow of coolant on this hose goes to the rad and the lower hose brings the coolant into the engine since it is lower and should be cooler down there anyway. Can anyone clarify this?? Also what should be a good operating temp of the coolant measured at this location??I am toying with the idea of getting a different adj. thermostat (perma cool) for the fan to kick on at a lower temp, but I guess I will see how it works out once ups drops of my fan kit..Thanks in advance for any tips or info in advance..Other then that my car is now running great now that I installed another R154 and zip tied throttle linkage so I can go WOT without it sticking open, and with the 3 inch turb back..Feels like a low 14 to high 13 second car now and is running 8.5psi..
