I'm trying to get with Greddy for making a wiring Diagram for the Emanage Ultimate for the 7MGTE. They have sent me one for the 7MGE but not the
7MGTE. I just want to make sure that I send them the correct one. I've done a lot of searching and it looks like the online TSRM has 2 different Pinouts.
This one in the EFI section
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=50

And this one in the TEWD section
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=49

Is the first one for 87-88 models and the second one for 89 and 91-92 models?

I have an 89T and I have read this and this is what I have submitted to them.
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78080

I have searched and looked and just needed someone to tell me the difference.

Thanks.

The TSRM on cygnusx website is for a 90 and the TEWD is for an 89.... If you car is an 89 then the TEWD should be the correct one...

89 was a screwy year... Most people only think in the terms of yellow and gray plugs but there is more to it then just color.. 89 had gray plugs but in the early yellow style housings and configuration.

Here's a better explaination to make it easier to understand. Sumitomo made the all the wiring and plugs for toyota (many others too). New for 89 was a different plastic material that was supposed to me better (more durable) and the color of it was gray for this new material... In 90 Toyota decided to start using a different plug series that Sumitomo offered so that is when the plug configuration changed.... To sum it up, color changed in 89 but configuration changed in 90...

Wait, I just went and looked at the TSRM, TEWD, and the PDF file in the other thread and they are all the same (pinout wise) unless I over looked something...

What are you saying is different????

If you look at the first pin out I posted it is different, look at where the battery and power are located in the last group of pins compared to the other ones I posted. They are different.

I had a feeling you were gonna say something like that......

Its cause of the way that you are looking at it.... Pin numbers locations are numbers as if your looking at the plug side not the wire side of the plug... When looking at the plug from the plug side, your read the number from left to right, top to bottom but when looking at the wire side, you read from right to left, top to bottom...

Here, maybe this will help

Looking at the plug side,
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08
09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16

Looking at the wire side,
08 07 06 05 04 03 02 01
16 15 14 13 12 11 10 09

The first link (from TRSM) doesn't show numbers because they would be backwards being that that page is about back probing the plug from the wire side and because the numbers would be backwards, it could get confusing and thus, no numbers just wire discriptions.... The second link (TEWD) is just a wiring diagram that does included pin numbers, but has no referance to plug hole location.... The third link (PDF) is the plug with pin numbers but the illistrations of the plug housing are from the plug side, not the wire side....

Simply put, they are the same but one is a miror of the other cause of how its being viewed...

You thoughs of them being wrong is common thing because of how they number pin locations and this is what gets many people confused when it comes to wiring...

You can pick up a factory EWD from ebay, if you don't want to pay for a newer one at the dealer. If the dealer can still get it.

Thanks, that puts it into perspective! Now I see!
