Ok so i bought the DM aem pnp for my bpu 1jz. I am a complete noob to general tuning. I know its a pnp so i can just plug it in and go but i would like to install my 1zz coils and 50psi map sensor. I have opened up the tuner and looked around to get a feel for things but i dont know what the hell all this stuff is about.

So my question is.. how do I set up the tuner to work with the new map sensor and coils?

And yes I have searched but I cant find anything that tells me exactly what to do within the tuner.

Absolutly any help is greatly appreciated.

The coils need to be wired up properly.

Then the map sensor and coils need to be configured right in the setting.

Also it is not just plug in and go. The car still needs to be tuned. It comes preloaded with a base map to start the car but really shouldnt be used outside of that.

How new are you to standalones? I suggest getting the car running on the stock coils since they do require a rewire like hvyman said. For the map sensor, look in the setup wizard along the top of the page, youll see an area where you can pick and choose what sensors your running, and look for your map sensor to click on.

Hey thanks man, i found the menu where i can select different coils and sensors and what not but it doesnt list what I will be installing.
sadly.
How do I manually adjust dwell when I install the coils?

If the coils your wanting are in the Wizard, best to leave it alone if your unsure what your doing. But you can goto tabs/hidden tabs and find the coil/dwell window and look at whats programmable. One neat feature is you can speicfy cranking dwell, idle and cruise and then ramp it up to full dwell under boost.

From what ive read, with the stock igniter in place, dwell is clamped at 2.8ms.
