Discovered my Anti-Theft System

OMG... how embarrassing..... Today I discovered that I have one... and it works. The kill switch too!

I was just finished getting some prescrip. at savon.. go out to my car to leave... I put my key in the ignition... all lights up like normal... and then I go to turn it all the way... it clicks a few times... then the lights all go out...

Oh great I thought its hot and the windows are rolled up...ugh!!!!:cry:

I call AAA to come and jump start. The driver comes out... and hooks up the charger... nothing... he scratched his head.. .pulled up his hat... you sure its not the kill switch... all I could say was no.. I dont really know.. .I just got the car and not sure if it has one.... Well after he jiggled the wires behind the battery and then the lights all went on... but it wouldnt turn over... "Are you sure its not the kill switch"... I had no clue... I felt so BLONDE... After a few more taps on the starter... I took the key out and closed the door... and put the key in turned it ... then i went to start it... BY THE MIRACLE OF THE SUPRA GODS!!!! She started up.... I felt so dumb... SO BLONDE....

so needless to say... I know the anti theft works.. and the kill switch is in working order!!!!:nono:

That's funny. I figured the anti theft on mine was long dead when I rolled up with windows (targa off), locked the doors, and ran into a store for a 2 minute trip. I came out and realized I had dropped the keys on the floor under the driver's seat. What to do? Reach in and unlock the door, of course. Next thing I see the headlights rolling up and the horn blaring. It took me just a second or two to realize the anti theft did actually work, grab the key and throw it in the ignition. Yeah, I felt stupid, but I'm glad the thing works.

I did it again!!! The damn thing, kill switch, I was running late this morning.. luckily we have another car. But now I have to figure it out again!!!

I tried the key thing again on the driver's door, but the damn thing wont start!!

Please help what can I do now? just sit and wait??? :3d_frown:

use the key to lock the doors then unlock them.

or lock them, and then unlock the hatch with key, close it and then proceed to unlock the doors and it should fire right up

My key doesnt work on the hatch. :cry: I havent been able to change the locks... i guess thats my project this weekend!!!:3d_frown:

I will try the locking unlocking of the doors...

try locking then unlocking with the key from the doors, the manual list the hatch as a secondary way to unlock the car with out setting off the antitheft.Sometimes mine wouldnt reset with the doors so i had to unlock the hatch before the car worked. Goodluck

:cry: :3d_frown: I think it maybe electrical... cuz the tow guy last time... wiggled the battery cable and the fuse box... then the alarm went off....

well at least i am home when this happened and not south central L.A. like last time....:nono:

Ok, who did the, look cool for the ladies thing with their targa supra, get in threw the windows, and the car doesnt start.
hahahahah
and JaV is right, wait till it goes apeshit when your in class or outside someones house.
Better yet, when your sitting at a drive in movie theater(yea we still have on, and its cool as hell).

if only we could video tape some of the alarm crap that happens to us supra owners, it would be like 10hours long.
I've got some funny ass ones too.

Wait till it goes off while pumping gas. thats real funny.
