I am trying to fix all the noticeable problems with the Supra before inspection.

There is an oil leak in the rear differential, it is all over the fins on the center section. I looked under there with a light and could not see the source. It doesn't leak on the ground yet, but it is soaked in oil all around the middle part.

Anyone know why this would be? Bad seal/gasket?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

So it's not a big problem? I have to pressure wash the underside because of an unknown oil leak from the engine too. So I will do that at the same time.

Thanks

If it's leaking bad I would definately check the gear oil in the differential to make sure it's not low. You should be able to take the bolt out of the back and stick your finger in the hole. If it comes out of the hole when you take the bolt out, then it's fine. If you can get some on your pinkie finger then it is fine. If you can't get any, then it is low. I used redline differential fluid in mine. I had the differential dropped though when I filled mine up.......good luck

Thanks for the help everyone.
I will check the fluid level while it's jacked up tomorrow. I need to grease everything tomorrow before the inspection possibly on Friday.

Thanks!
