Hey i recently got an 87 na. The clock almost never works. Itl show a time but itl never be correct, even after ive set it. Half the time when i press the buttons to set the clock itl either go dim and do nothing, or just do nothing. Sometimes itl dim with headlights on and sometimes itl just stay bright. Every now and then i can get the buttons to actually change the time, but next time i check the clock its totally off. Im wondering if anyone ese has had this problem, when i smack it hard it seems to start working differently, usually not properly though.

Another question i had is what power source do you guys use for your interior acessories such as gauges, amps, subs, all that kind of stuff. I had to run a 12v wire from the battery for a sub and i soon found there NO holes in the firewall for wires. I ended up running it through the throttle cable hole but i am kind of nervous as theres not even a gromet. What do you guys do about this kind of thing?
Thanks a lot!
Cy

if you don't have a grommet, that power could very possibly cause a fire.

you could run the gauges off the dimmer switch, i think.

no. go to a parts store and ask for grommets. they usually have an assortment of sizes just in case you don't know what size the hole is.

until you do that, i suggest you unhook the power from the battery, or remove the fuse(if you are using one).

There is a little hole above the foot rest area. You can also see it from the engine bay. It is below the horn. Just poke it and run your wire through there. Do use grommets tho

i couldnt find that hole you were talking about, instead i removed the wheel well cover and ran it through the hole in the fender, then into the cab. Why did toyota have to do this the stupid wheel well cover is annoying as hell to work with
