Could I have gotten a rebuilt jdm motor?

So with the motor up on the stand and the accesories off ive notice a few things.

One is that the block has been spray painted black and they missed around the inside edges of the freeze plugs. This isnt oem is it?

Two is that when i took my valve covers off the head and everything are VERY clean. Too clean imo for a 60K motor.

Third is I can see scratches on the front timing cover deck. like someone did a rebuild and was scraping off old gasket.


Any other things i could look for or suggestions? Opinions?

theres no real way they coudl ahve cleaned the holy hell out of everythign ebfore they put it back together and sold it but there is a chance u got a rebuilt motor check the block and check the main bearings n thrust washers see how those look and look at hte crank and see measure ti see if everything is up to specs and check the oil journals gl with findiing out
