Ok all,

Its been a long time waiting but I finally got around to looking at this code 43 Starter Signal with hopes of getting it fixed.

Looking at the TSRM is states to Check the Voltage between STA and E1.
With the Ignition ON there should be no Voltage..... Im reading 6.8v with the Ignition switch on. Is this a Problem or could this be why Im getting a code 43 Signal.

TSRM also states to check that there is Voltage at the Starter terminal 50 and Body ground. I do infact have 6.5V there.

http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=62

Am I missing something or does this sound Odd that I have voltage between STA and E1?

Thanks for all your Imput.

Hmmm...thought we already covered this a while back in a PM. What you're seeing is voltage from the ECU. What you need to look for is battery voltage at STA with the key held to start. It should be the same as battery positive. Keep in mind battery voltage will sag under cranking load unless the starter has been disconnected. If it sags to less than 11 volts you'll have to fix that first. It alone could be the cause of your problem...

Well, Im not for sure exactly ow to check that. All Im doing is following the TSRM. If I use the MK3 Starter wire I get Absolutely nothing when I turn the Key, Its like the wire isnt connected to the starter so I end up having to put the MK2 starter wire on and it starts up fine when it warm. Cold start is a B#$%h.

So with that said... MK3 Harness starter wire. Nothing at all period, MK2 Starter wire it turns over fine, Just cold starts are hell.

Sorry Mr JJ if Im missing something. Battery was relocated to the trunk also.

Then run a wire from the starter circuit to STA. Or trace the wire on STA and connect it to the start circuit. That can be done at the COR, start relay, or clutch safety switch assuming you still have them. Do whatever it takes to put +12 on STA when the starter is active because the ECU uses this signal for several things when starting the engine...
