Hi guys!
At first, thank you for advices in my last thread. I've just removed my R154 alone. It wasn't very easy, but I knew what to do, so It was straightforward...
So, I've removed my tranny and found two very sad things:
1) My input shaft has very big shaftplay. Bearing is shot, I think. The question: is it possible to replace it without any special tools? I can't afford complete rebuild now, and my tranny works ok. Any advices how to replace this bearing?
2) My stock flywheel has small radial cracks on working surface. They are approx 5-7mm long long and look not very deep. Can I use this FW after resurface or it's no-no for 100%? How much I should shave off working surface? To eliminate these craks at all, or just make surface smooth and leave cracks alone?
What is minimal thickness for stock FW?
PS: please don't give advices like "buy new FW, fully rebuild tranny", cause I have some problems with $$ right now but my car should be on the road ASAP.
PS2: Thanks for help. I really appreciate it.
