pressure plate takes just as much of a beating as the flywheel...

if you're flywheel isn't toast, get it resurfaced, and get a new clutch (including the PP).

What are your power goals, and what power are you at now?

I'd say the PP takes more punishment than the flywheel. Always replace the PP with the disk, the PP has springs that get weak with use and like poodles said it's a good idea to have the flywheel turned and clean up so the new clutch will break in properly.

Just get the whole set... it's usually cheaper. Like everybody said.. Pressure plate wears out because it's a spring, resurface the flywheel cause the flywheel surface and the clutch wear into each other (think disk brakes), and the throwout bearing could always be replaced.

One thing though, if you take out the flywheel go ahead and invest in a REAR MAIN SEAL. It'll save you in the long run.

Quick question though, are you gonna pull the motor and trans or just drop the transmission?? Just curious. :biglaugh:

tranny is easy to drop if you have the right tools...

I highly recommend the Action Stage 3 clutch I got from driftmotion though... been 2 days driving on it and it's breaking in nicely and it's very tame for a 6 puck clutch...

OK
like everybody says replace the clutch and presure plate, if you have money get a light weight flywheel otherwise resurface the stock one but for sure if your rear main seal is old replace it. i recommend you get a 6 puck clutch that's sprung
