Hi guys, I purchased gaskets a few months back for my upgraded ct off of ebay, I recently went to the track (ennis) to have some fun with the 3s crew at the texas 3s gathering, The first pass, I lined up against a G35, I knew I had the race in the bag, I got the tires cleaned up a bit and setup at the lights. I knew I was going to smoke him, I had a pretty smooth launch (street tires) and got them to bite and as soon as I hit second the exhaust note got EXTREMELY loud. I glanced at my gauge and it was at 3psi... Needless to say, I lost an easy race. 15.5 at 89 :nono: . A month went by before I got the balls to tear into it and found the gasket between the housing and the manifold was GONE(I left it at the track with my ego). Please learn from my mistake, buy Toyota exhaust gaskets, you wont be sorry.

sorry, but that's just hilarious

the gasket is MLS, so inspect the stock one and see if it's fine, if it is, use it...

when in doubt, replace, btw, I talked with my old roomate with the 3000gt, he wants another run this weekend, MBC has been ordered, 10psi will make up for his nitto NT01's I think. Either way, he has the advantage, 1/8th mile track and my 60's suck! I am confident I will reel him in.
