Dexron? I was always told to use Type T-IV...anyone know? Are there any other tranny fluids compatable with Toyota's DexronII(I) or T-IV? I just hate paying $5/qt for the shit...

dexron II is what the manual calls for, and it isnt made anymore it has been replaced by dexron III so thats what your supposed to use.
dont be cheep on this, go ahead and spend the $7 a quart for the royal purple. It hurt to spend close to $100 for tranny fluid when i did my complete flush but atleast i know i dont have to worry about it as much.
