Car won't start!!

I just bought a project car and it doesn't start. I checked codes and I got 12,22, and 51. I replaced the spark plugs also. Car cranks but no start. I'm thinking that the wiring is all effed up. The guy swaped the engine in here but the wiring is horrible. Stuff is just sitting around not connected to anything.

With random things laying arround not connected, it would be hard to trouble shoot. Go through and make sure everything is properly connected first. Then we could start trouble shooting...and, look up your codes!

Pick up the factory electrical wiring diagram for your year from Toyota.

if it cranks but doesn't fire you've got something wrong with the sucksqwishbangblow so check fuel/spark/timing. code 12 could be cps, ecu, or starter. when I first swapped the engine I had forgot to replace the IAC gasket and that kept it from starting, so the fuel smell might be comming from that, or he forgot to hook up on of the fuel lines, strike a match and find out.
