ok, heres the deal.. me and my buddy jose are trying to figure out his car.

it was originally a n/a swapped to a turbo. this swap was not done properly in my ocd opinion. but he has gotten the car to at least idle and run good, as long as you stay out of boost. this is what ive tried..

we have took off his intercooling pipes which are stock. checked for holes and leakes, cant find anything by visual. ive swapped out his mafs with mine, still same, swapped his tps with mine, saaaame thing. now heres whats funny to me. he has the base timing set waaaay off the scale cause thats where he said it runs the best, i set the base timing at 10 like normal, and damn, it ran hella shitty when trying to boost, but idle'd ok.. in doing this coughing and hesatating it threw a code 51 and i think 34. i set the tps perfectly,

we worked on this damn thing for hours last night, is there somrthing that the shop that did the swap screwed up on by not doing? is there something extra that has to be done by going to a turbo from a n/a car? im lost, and getting very frustrated. where should i start looking?

yes, per tsrm. im not sure that it is a timing thing, im just running down possibilities. process of elimination. im getting convinced that it is ither a bad wire at the plug in connection somewhere, or a boostleak that is just being stubborn and playing hide and your never gonna find me!! unless there is something else that has to be done for the swap. but i think all components are there. idk......
