Hey guys
ran into a little problem with my drain line.
it has a slight u shape using the stock drain port.

I was wondering if it were possible to remove the flange from the port under the oil filter housing, and use that as a drain.
Anyone done this before?

i attached a pic of jolliger's ( i believe that;s his sf name) motor.

I'm referring to the little flange under the oil filter housing.

Did you plug the return on the stock oil pan (return from stock oil cooler)? That could be an idea for a drain.

To date, I have not found a -10 to 12x1.25 fitting.

Also, you can not use the plate marked "7m" under the oil filter. It is indeed under pressure.

You need to use a 45 deg fitting and a straight fitting instead of two straights.

Or, have a 70-80 deg steel bend made thats -10 comming off the turbo.

And you wont.

to add to that, you wouldn't want to use that small of a drain anyways.

Basically what Jon (MDC) said, or the other option is to open up or drill a hole in the pan and weld a fitting on.

I think thats the route I'll take. Drain to pan, and tap off of the oil pressure gauge line for the feed?
