hey guys did some searching and couldnt find anything on how to spot a na camshaft from a turbo camshaft. ive never worked with a na cam so i dont know what to look for on the cam. the reason i ask is because i was given a head with cams in it. the guy said it was from a turbo motor. i just want to be sure because they dont have very many miles on them according to the guy that gave the head to me. thanks

Well you should be able to measure the lobe height on the cam, GTE and GE are different - it won't be exact but should tell you within a reasonable margin of error what they are. Check the EM section of the TSRM for the specs.

Iirc the lift is the same just the duration is different but i dont remember for sure. With a n/a you will have lots of low end and no top end and the other way around for a turbo cam. Tho there is a thread around here somewhere where someone made charts for the difference in them.

Also only the intake cams are different on the 7m.

There is the p/n for them tho i cannot remember either weather or not there is p/n's on the cmas but i think there might maybe. Its been a while since i looked that closely to actually remember. Seen a cam didnt look.
