First, let me tell you that there is a search button that may have helped you as this is a topic that surfaces quite often.
To burb the system on a MkIII, you need to do the following:
Raise the front of the car either by parking it on a hill or jacking the front until the muffler tips are almost touching the ground.
Take off the rad cap and start the car.
Let it run with the heater setting set on maximum.
As the car reaches the normal operating temp - or as the thermostat begines to open, the air bubbles trapped in the heater core will be pushed out. Rev the car at 2~3k for several minutes to get things moving (generate more heat as well as pump pressure) Get ready for a gusher as these bubles may shoot the coolent up into the air. Keep this up for about 30 minutes to ensure all bubbles are gone. Fill rad to the top, and replace cap.
Put car on even surface and top up any remaining fluid in the rad as well as in the overflow bottle.
That should do the trick.
Remember, Anitfreese is poison to cats and other animals so clean up the mess afterwards.
