I hope this isn't too stupid of me to ask this, but where would be the least expensive place, online, to buy NEW brake rotors and pads for my supra (87turbo) I don't need any fancy ones, just ones like stock because the car is staying stock for a while until I pay it off...

Locally they cannot buy them, if they do its from the dealership which will be BIG BUCKS...

Any help is appreciated. I need this done with the least amount of money (without skimping on safety) so I can pass inspection. In about a years time I will be upgrading the brakes to larger size, so I just need a cheap fix for now.

THANKS!

Theres this company in Toronto That will ship to you...Nights Auto is the name. I got Brembo Cross Drilled Rotors, Stainless Steel braided lines and brake pads for $500CND.----> Very Good Buy

You could try eBay to find real cheap ones if you just want to pass inspection. Also try a junkyard maybe?...They might have rotors on the car that may still be ok to use.

Good luck in your search!

What would be the best rotors to get for our cars, should it be more drilled or more slotted, or any great info to learn about this would be great.

from everything i read drilled are just for looks. the very high end forged with holes do help with heat and whatever. not likely youll have enough power to make use of them though so its a waste of cash.

slotted seems to be the way to go though. i got brembo slotted rotors and they are amazing compared to what i had before. the only problem now is stopping to fast and worrying about people behind me not stopping fast enough!

im sure its an endless debate, drilled and slotted. theres always the crowd that thinks drilled is superior. usually because they spent the money on them already and want to justify them. or they think it looks cool and looks is all that matters.

Well Toyota Dealership in Barnet wanted to charge me £400 for the privilege, plus £75+VAT per hour for the work. I ended up getting a set of hardly used OEM ones on eBay for £12 :D

Yeah i know they werent new, but less than 500 miles of wear on them, no lip on the discs, pads had loads left on them, and they work fine :)

eBay does have good deals from time to time...

I was supposed to get each rotor for 45 bucks then the pads for 85 for a set of four. Now a pair of rotors is 189 dollars. Why isn't anything working out for me!!

I'm calling Canadian Tire to see what they have, if not I will look on Ebay agin...
