Back of the Head - What goes there? Newbie Question.

Right, so I've finally got some time to start putting my car back together (and the weather has finally agreed to cooperate), but I've run into a slight problem. When I pulled the head and everything off, the whole system that attaches to the back of the head was jury rigged together using Autozone piping and Home Depot special copper fittings.

Its been a little bit since I pulled the head off, and now I can't even remember what they did looked like. I'm just hoping to figure out what goes back there, order new parts from Toyota and replace it and have it run the way it should. I've tried running a few searches on the forum, but most of what I get isn't helpful (maybe because I have no idea what exactly I'm looking for) or is a for sale topic of parts I may or may not need. Tried flipping through Cygnus TSRM, but I just ended up getting lost and more confused in that, I really have no idea how to navigate it. Decided to then try and find it based off the EPC, but whatever this assembly is isn't listed there or I can't find it. I'm just really lost now.

I'm looking for whatever attaches to here, and how it goes up from there:

Is it the 90 degree hose everyone refers to? I seem to remember the jury rigged had a t-pipe and way too many hoses and copper piping, so I'm not exactly sure what I am looking for.

Any help, links to the TSRM, pictures of what it looks like, or even parts numbers would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to get my car back together the correct way, and I've proven I can't successfully search for anything.

Thanks!

You need two pieces of pipe and two washers. They are all surprisingly cheap. I think mine was 20 bucks for all needed. Definitely worth getting a new setup nearly anytime you do a head job.

Part numbers:
Washers - 90430-22008 --- you need two (2)
Straight pipe - 90401-22004
Angled pipe - 90405-17005

**Probably want to make sure you also have the correct hoses. Might be worth spending the extra $$ to get new hoses as well. Those, unfortunately, are not anywhere near as cheap as the union pieces.

Actually just did this one on my car today, a real cunt while its in the car, and yeah its just a small about 4" 90* heater hose that just goes from there behind the exhaust valve cover and into another piece of hard piping

Awesome! Thanks for the replies and help guys!

I totally looked at that EPC diagram on Cygnus and didn't know that was what I was looking for. Thanks for pointing that out and for the part numbers suprarx7nut! I'll definitely be ordering those with the next round of parts from Toyota.

And luckily my head's out of the car, so it should be a little easier than doing it in car.

Again, thanks for the help guys!
