Hey for those of you who AutoX, what all is needed to get started with it? I'm really considering getting into this when the season starts off around here in February and I don't really know where to start. I want some "racing" experience because the ultimate goal is to get into club racing.

From what I was reading on the central florida SCCA regional site, it looks like you need to join the SCCA to get into SoloII, but from other forums I've read, it seemed like all you needed to do was show up to the event with a helmet, register there and you were good to go. Any helpful input would be appreciated :)

I have ran my NA in the AutoX down here in South Texas alot of fun. They really dont have that many rules just the common sense rules. I wish I could auto x my NA but right now its down because its under going a NA-T swap.

What would I do without you two?...

Haha...jerks :naughty:

I looked through the NASA stuff, they seem to be pretty set for AutoX and they even have a class for the Supra in road racing, although there wasn't a NA MKIII listed in any of them, but every other type of Supra was. I'll have to talk to them to find out what class it's in. Thanks for the link

I think a N/A supra goes in the geo metro and ford festiva class.... I cant remember the name of the class though

Molasses class

Haha, all NA jokes aside, I'd rather have an NA than a turbo out on autoX. I think the NA has a good low end torque and that it wouldn't be too overbearing during such low speed "racing"... faster isn't always faster

But when I hopefully start club racing, I'll probably go for some kind of car that has forced induction (the ole MKIII will not be road raced)

re re

if you wana auto x you have to build a car for the class you want to be in but if you do motor swap it should change your auto x class aka street/street mod/mod/

most likly be street mod or mod this all depends on how you local do it

it's alot of fun

jusrt need a helemt and roll bar if you are convtertable
