i took my car out for a drive just now after putting my vacuum line on my bov that i was missing...i dont think it has anything to do with this...or could this be a vacuum problem? at first it was all good driving soft and hard, and then... when i put my foot down, it would down shift, go up to 4000 and it feels like something is pulling it back and preventing it to go higher or upshift. i could be wrong on what i feel, im gonna take it out and drive it again in an hour.. any thoughts? this tranny has like 40,000ish on it.

yup, 1 connecter , real easy. If it is electrical, you will have to go through some troubleshooting by tsrm to find the cause. It is usually mechanical though! I have heard of people on here have ecu problem, and solenoid also, but personally, every bad one i've seen is bad trans.

mine went from delayed shift to slipping hard in a few days, hard to tell by your description though, what happens if you stay in gas, revs higher but no go faster?? What does it rev up to?

I just dont get where if its in 2nd its not revving over 4000rpms, unless you mean you back off at that point because its not shifting. When they are in early stages of failure, often times backing off will aid it in shifting, when theyre gone, you have to rev the shit out of it to get it to the next gear.

whew! you were right, it wasn't a transmission problem at all. it was just one big ass boost leak(the stock bov port off the 3000 pipe...my "plug" totally fell off) i didnt see it last night cuz it was too dark.
she's runnin' fine now, thanx for the help
