When i sell my SC, i've been thinking about picking one up. They are amazing cars and are now affordable (10-14k). Anyone with experence with said car?

Yup my friend blew the turbo's on his before 60k miles I believe. But it was a good excuse to go with RS4 turbo's

well, I want a 2001-2002. The 98-2000 models blew the turbos, they fixed it on the 01/02. On all the forums i see, its the 2000 and olders that have lots of problems.

I have very little experience with them personally, but a friend of mine did buy a A4 1.8t Quattro new in 01. The car was mostly stock with F-K coilovers and 18's. It was a nice car quiet luxury car to cuise in (stock) and handled well. It was about as fast as my stock supra turbo and almost as heavy, but it had an excuse (quattro).
My buddy is a tech at a Porsche/Audi/VW dealer. In the summer they get to take a few of the cars to some shows. I did get one ride in an 04 S4, and that car + his driving = one scary F**king ride. It's a totally different animal, all quiet and subdued but stomp on it and it Hauls ass. The brakes are amazing too, imo. He had me scared before I realized this.
I know, I know, it's a 5valve per cylinder 4.2 V8 so not what your looking for, but still, a chipped 02 would probably be a pretty close match:dunno:
This same friend sold his 1.8T a few years ago. He's come back to senses, and is also currently looking for the right 02 S4.
Its one of the first luxury performance cars I'd consider.
(Soarer would be 1st)

ric, nice quick cars when they have the K04 turbos on them, and are monsters when there are gt28s.
I watched a few top gear videos on them. They are track beasts...
I bet twin potatos are cheaper then KO4's anyways lol.
