So my headgasket blew and I decided to tackle it myself. Of course this site and the service manual were my main tools at hand. It took me awhile to finish the job fully, but it is done. Sadly most of the 'job time' was waiting for parts. Basically work a day then wait a week for something, repeat. I now know my car better than before, what took me a full day to accomplish at the start I can now do in 2 hours.

My car has never ran so well the entire time ive had it!! I managed everything with I think 1 post asking about something. Another post I asked about something but never got a decent answer, so I dont count that one ; p

Im sure Ill be lucky enough to develope rod knock soon and learn even more!:aigo: ::dead horse::

Thats the thing, my oil looked fine. Not a milkshake at all, I actually just drained my oil drainpan into a clear container. Im hoping to see if any coolant seperates. My coolant on the other hand had Some oil in it but not bad at all. The gasket didnt totally blow, it was kinda broken apart around the 6th cyl.

Just to be on the safe side, I'd change the oil and filter again...it takes very little coolant in the oil to damage the bearings. Cheap insurance IMO.

Yes, I just drove the car today after finally getting Everything buttond up. I plan to change the oil before driving it again. Then do another change in 500 miles, then back to normal schedule. Sucks wasting good oil in just 10 miles of use but oh well ha.
