alternator gone wack

its been three months and the damn altenator has failed five times..

ive changed the rectifire three times and the ic two times. now is there something wrong with the alternator or is there something wrong with the wiering?:1zhelp: this is getting really annoying fixing the damn thing every month. any ideas of whats going on?

sounds like a engine ground or wiring issue, both will overheat an alternator.
either that or a cheap replacement part(vatozone or carquest should be avoided for electrical parts, in my experience they only sell cheaply remanned stuff)
